Social Worker If a social worker has had first aid training, it would contribute to providing a positive experience for users of social care services, as they would be the first port of call in an accident or emergency. The service user would not need to wait on a paramedic or an ambulance to be looked at, they would be seen as and when the accident happened. It would also make the service user feel safe in your care as they will feel better knowing that if an accident does occur, you are there and easy to call upon. Anti-discriminatory practice is complementary to the practice of equal opportunities. Therefore the service user would be having a positive experience as they will not be treated differently due to age, race, or gender etc. But will be given more advice or help if needed, depending on their ability. If a social worker has a person centered approach towards the service user, it provides a positive experience as the work is tailored to the individual. It is about enabling the service user to lead the life they want. The individual is the person that the social workers care is based on, and it is the social workers job to ensure that the individual is getting the care they need. For a social worker to have reliability is a huge thing as it provides the service user with a notion to trust that person.
